Mindful Eating 101. Your current emotional state at the time of eating. Simply put, it is being in full awareness mode when choosing, preparing, serving, and eating your food.

Mindful eating means paying attention to what you're eating. Most people think of it as "living in the moment." It is being alive and aware of your momentary experience. Imagine you are working on a project, all engrossed in it.

Mindful eating, also known as "intuitive eating," is an approach to eating that encourages you to eat when you're hungry and stop.

Mindful eating is maintaining an in-the-moment awareness of the food and drink you put into your body, observing rather than judging how the food makes you feel… Mindful eating is the practice of engaging our whole body in the process of preparing and eating food, giving the body and heart to each stage of the process of enjoying a meal. Simply put, it is being in full awareness mode when choosing, preparing, serving, and eating your food. Mindful eating is an application of a broader approach to living called mindfulness.
